About Me

Hi—I’m Leah. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT, PhD) with over 20 years of experience walking alongside women as they navigate anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship struggles, and the weight of long-held expectations. My experiences aren’t just from my training, but my own lived experiences that help me relate to you.

I work from a trauma-informed, somatically-attuned, and a family systems influenced lens. That means I don’t just focus on symptoms—I help you listen deeply to the parts of yourself that are over-functioning, exhausted, or quietly hurting. Together, we create space for healing that includes your mind, body, and nervous system—not just your thoughts.

My clients are often self-aware women who are used to keeping it together on the outside—even when they’re falling apart inside. You may be the one everyone else relies on. But you’re ready for something deeper. Therapy with me is about helping you reconnect with your intuition, manage overwhelm more effectively, set boundaries without guilt, and move forward with more clarity and self-trust.

How I got here…

I sought therapy to understand myself and this led me to want to help others. I then completed my master’s degree in Family Studies and Clinical Therapy from Mercer University. After earning my license as a therapist in 1998 in Georgia, I returned to graduate school and earned a PhD in Family Relations from Florida State University — a research-based, non-clinical degree that deepened my understanding of family systems, relationships, identity, and human development. For over 20 years I have helped guide people through managing anxiety, increasing their self-confidence and self-esteem, and healing unspoken wounds.

If something in my story resonates with you, I'd love to talk with you about working together. Call me to schedule a free consultation or drop me an email.
